Hi Kathi!
I heard you speak at the conference on Saturday and wanted to share what you have already motivated me to do!
On Friday evening my daughter wanted to put out Halloween decorations, so I pulled out the various boxes, bags and stuff. We decorated with less than half of it and I looked at the rest and thought, “I really to need to go through that and get rid of some of it” which is the same thing I’ve thought every year at this time for at least three years, but I just put it back in the garage to be dealt with another day. Saturday morning, I heard you speak and I knew what I had to do.
Last night I went through all the Halloween and Thanksgiving stuff I have and put four bags of stuff aside for donation including an adorable poodle skirt costume that might fit a 7/8 year old (my youngest is 14). This morning, I drove that stuff (and the pile of stuff that been sitting in the garage for months waiting to be donated) and dropped it off at the nearby Goodwill donation center.
You are right…I feel great! I got rid of a pile of stuff that had been sitting in the garage, I reduced my fall holiday decorations down to one reasonable size container, got that task off of my to-do list AND I feel good that I donated it at a time of year that they will be able to sell it rather than in January when no one wants fall/Halloween decorations and costumes!
I know I still have a lot to do, but I feel great that I got started!
Thank you!
Lynnette
