If you have ancient, unusable computers lurking in your closets, now is the time to get them out of your life.
Goodwill now accepts old computers, hard drives, monitors and televisions through their e-waste recycling program. Goodwill is a State certified “Collector” of e-waste through the Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) and the Department of Toxic Substances (DTSC) in many areas throughout the US. They sell or recycle the units in an environmentally responsible way.
If you have 1-2 units, you can drop them off at your local donation station. Plan to arrive eearly in the day so that they have room left in their trucks. If they do not have room, they might not be able to accept your old computer that day.
